A quarter of a century has gone by since Vietnamese sport reintegrated into international sporting festivals. However, the necessity of self-elevation is still needed to fulfill the nation’s competitive desire to fly higher, faster and further.

VietNamNet Bridge – Archer Nguyen Tien Cuong is hoping to build on his initial successes at regional competitions to lift the profile of his sport in Viet Nam while also pursuing his dream to one day compete at the Olympics. 

With the support from the Republic of Korea, the women’s national taekwondo team of Vietnam will be trained and guided by excellent experts to aim to Olympic medals in 2016.

VietNamNet Bridge - In 2013, the 17-year-old female swimmer--Nguyen Thi Anh Vien will be invested with a record high funding from the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, over VND1 billion ($50,000).
