Vietnamese runner Ha Thi Hau won and set a new record at the Amazean Jungle Thailand by UTMB, an ultra-trail running tournament in Yala, Thailand, late on May 4 while her teammate Le Thi Hang came second.

A runner passed away at a hospital in Hoa Binh City on Sunday following participation in the Vietnam Ultra Marathon (VUM).

The Danang International Marathon was held in the central coastal city of Da Nang on March 24, attracting over 9,000 athletes, including nearly 1,800 foreigners from 60 countries and territories.

Hang has been running 42km every day for nearly 300 days as part of her year-long endeavor. Her ultimate aim is to reach 365 days, covering an estimated total distance of 15,330km.

Ethiopian runner Dino Sefir, who competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, was the winner in the men’s 42-km competition at the Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race 2023 which was held in the capital on October 15.

Among the international runners making their debut in the race are Dino Sefir, Askale Margasa Tafa, and Jebesa Dabesa from Ethiopia.
