Vietnamese culture put on display during Niigata festival in Japan
A Vietnam Festival opened in Niigata, Japan, exciting visitors with displays of traditional Vietnamese puppetry and art performances on September 11.
During the festival’s opening ceremony, the Vietnamese ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam states that the event provides a chance for Japanese people to gain greater insights into Vietnamese culture, whilst also serving to boost friendship between the two nations.
Present the event are staff from the Vietnamese embassy in Japan, in addition to authorities from Niigata prefecture.
A number of puppetry performances excited the watching crowds, especially children.
Displays featuring traditional Vietnamese music instruments are performed to the delight of the watching audience.
