It will cancel two flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh Cityto Taipei on August 8, namely the VN578 and VN570; as well as four othersbetween Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Taipei on August 9, namely the VN751, VN756,VN767 and VN759.

At the same time, the carrier will delay the departure oftwo flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Taipei in late August 9 eveningand early August 10 morning. In the new schedule, Flight VN578 will depart fromHanoi at 2:30 with large-body Airbus A350 instead of the Airbus A321, whileFlight VN570 will depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 5:00 on August 10. VietnamAirlines will use Airbus A350 aircraft in replacement of Airbus A321 for theregular VN572 and VN571 between Ho Chi Minh City and Taipei on August 10.

Passengers of the affected flights will get free transfer toother flights on the same route at their request, and the carrier recommendsthat passengers planning trips to/from airports in Taiwan to regularly updatethe weather and information from the company.

Vietjet Air cancels flights to Taiwan due to typhoon

The budget carrier Vietjet Air announced on August 8 that it will cancel flights to Taiwan (China) on August 9 due to the impacts of typhoon Lekima.

They include Ho Chi Minh City – Taipei round-trip flights VJ840/VJ841, VJ844/VJ845, VJ842/VJ843 and Hanoi – Taipei flights VJ940/VJ941, VJ942/VJ943.

Other flights are also affected.

A Vietjet Air representative said the carrier has sent notification to passengers via the media, telephone and SMS.
