After successfully hosting and organizing the UN Day of Vesak in 2008 and 2014 in Hanoi and Ninh Binh, Vietnam has left a deep impression on the world's friends for the image of the country, the people, culture and religious life.

The UN Day of Vesak 2019 was attended by more than 3,000 official delegates, including 570 international delegations, eight international art troupes, and a total of 1,650 delegates from 112 countries and territories.

This was also the ceremony with the participation of the highest number of heads of state and UN leaders, showing the prestige and position of Vietnam in general and the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha in particular in organizing international events, making a strong impression on international friends on the country and people of Vietnam.

The main contents of the UN Vesak 2019 include: Responsible leadership for sustainable society, Buddhism's approach to harmonious families, Buddhist approach to education, Buddhism and Industrial Revolution 4.0, Buddhism's approach to responsible consumption.
