The baby and her mother stayed at the grandmother’s house for four days from January 26 to 29.

Five days before she was hospitalised, the baby showed symptoms of coughing, a runny nose, and slight fever.

She was examined and quarantined at a local clinic in Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc.

After testing positive for the novel coronavirus, the patient was transferred to the National Children’s Hospital the same day.

As of February 13, she had no symptoms of fever and coughing.

From February 14 to 17, her condition stabilised.

The hospital took her blood sample for the second test on February 14 and the third on February 17 that came back negative for the coronavirus.

So far, 15 out of the 16 coronavirus patients in Vietnam have been successfully treated and discharged from hospital.
