On June 22, at Village 5, Cam Hai Commune, Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Du, Deputy Head of Political Bureau of the High Command of Coast Guard Region 1 presented VND40 million to Mr. Nguyen Van Voong’s family. This is the funding to support the construction of a "Great Solidarity" house under the program called "The Coast Guard accompanies fishermen".

The Coast Guard provided funding to build a 'Great unity house for fisherman Nguyen Van Voong.

 

Through assessment, the local Fatherland Front Committee decided to grant funding for building a new house for Mr. Nguyen Van Voong's family with a total area of over 90 square meters. His current house is seriously degraded. The total construction cost is about VND200 million, donated by some organizations and individuals. The construction is expected to complete in September 2020.

Mr. Voong's family has seven members. Mr. Voong is disabled, unable to work, and his children are in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Ha Van Cong, Party Secretary and Chairman of Cam Hai Commune, said that the funding from the High Command of Coast Guard Region 1 for Mr. Nguyen Van Voong's family has practical meaning, showing affection and concern of officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Coast Guard towards fishermen in difficult circumstances to help them improve their accommodation and stabilize their lives. This activity is part of the campaign "The army join hands for the poor - Do not let anyone be left behind," which demonstrates the nature and good tradition of the "Uncle Ho's soldiers" - the people's soldiers.
