Responding to reporters’ questions related to the issue, and on the Vietnamese Government’s support measures in this regard, Hang said at a regular press conference of the Foreign Ministry on November 21 that Vietnam’s relevant agencies are actively coordinating with the British side to assist the victims’ families in an humanitarian spirit and in accordance with regulations of international law and the laws and customs of Vietnam and the UK.

Vietnamese families of UK lorry victims have to cover repatriation costs

The families of 39 Vietnamese people found dead in a lorry in England last month will have to cover the costs to repatriate their relatives’ remains, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in an official document.
