Specifically, both Minister Dung and the patient were on Vietnam Airlines flight VN0054 that landed at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi at 4:30 a.m. on March 2, the local media reported.

The minister occupied seat 1A while the patient was in seat 5K.

Despite being confirmed as negative for the virus, Minister Dung is self-isolating at home for 14 days, at the request of the Ministry of Health.

The headquarters of the Ministry of Planning and Investment in Hanoi has been also disinfected.

The Ministry of Health has asked localities to determine more than 200 passengers on the flight and quickly put them in quarantine.

HCMC has put in quarantine 20 passengers on flight VN0054 which carried N.H.N., Vietnam’s 17th Covid-19 case, from the United Kingdom to Vietnam on March 2.

According to the HCMC Center for Disease Control, the municipal authorities and healthcare, tourism and police agencies have coordinated to identify four Vietnamese citizens residing in HCMC, an overseas Vietnamese and 15 international tourists aboard the flight, and send them to isolation.

The city has also found five other foreign tourists sharing the flight with the patient. They stayed at a hotel in the city from March 2 to 4 and have traveled to Cambodia. They were reported to be in good condition.

These above people, after arriving at Noi Bai International Airport, have taken flight VN223 to Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCMC. SGT
