Aware of this task, Hai Phong City Party Committee Propaganda Department, the High Command of Coast Guard Region 1 and armed forces units in the area strengthened propaganda on sea and island sovereignty, widely disseminated and spread the provisions of the law related to the sea and islands to the masses, especially the coastal areas and islands of Hai Phong city.

In order to bring the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard to life, directly to fishermen at sea, the High Command of Coast Guard Region 1 has signed a contract with local governments to organize propaganda sessions at the ward level. At the commune level, the Regional High Command has sent groups and teams directly to the ports, where people gather, and fishing boats to propagate to people to understand the position, role and function of the Vietnam Coast Guard force as well as understand the provisions of Vietnamese law and international law in the process of fishing at sea; grasp communication frequencies in case of meeting accidents at sea ..., to coordinate with the Vietnam Coast Guard in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the country.

The High Command of Coast Guard Region 1 has awarded 50 gifts to poor and disadvantaged fishermen in the communes of Hoang Chau, Xuan Dam, Phu Long, Cat Ba town and Cat Hai town.

Propaganda and dissemination methods have also been deployed creatively, innovatively and closely. The pamphlets were handed out to the people. The speakers combined oral presentations with Powerpoint presentations to make the propaganda content lively, engaging and easy to understand.

Besides Hai Phong, the Regional High Command also sent a team of speakers to propagandize at the Propaganda Department of Quang Ninh, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh provinces and junior high schools.
