A bus driver and his assistant in Hanoi wear face masks to avoid coronavirus infection –

The municipal Department of Transport has teamed up with health facilities and preventive medicine centers to apply disinfection activities to reception sites, crowded areas and public transport hubs including coach/train stations and ports in the city.

Leaders of transport hubs must cooperate with local health facilities to take steps to handle any problems caused by the disease.

Operators of transport services such as taxis and buses were told to advice passengers on ways to maintain hygiene practices. Drivers have to clean their vehicles every day as well as make hand sanitizers and face masks available for passengers.

Apart from this, rooms used for resident reception and for the receipt and return of administrative documents must have free face masks and hand sanitizers available for local residents and visitors who are not carrying these items.

Further, employees in charge of reception tasks have been asked to wear masks according to guidelines and to clean their hands after handling any documents.

The city’s transport department also recommended local people and companies complete administrative procedures online at the official site http://sgtvt.hochiminhcity.gov.vn to avoid infection with the new virus, which was first detected in Wuhan, China, late last year.SGT
