Responding to the World Environment Day on June 5 this year with the theme "Action for nature", on June 4, 2020, the Youth Union of the High Command of Coast Guard Region 4 coordinated with the Youth Union of An Son commune, Nam Du border post, Radar Station 600 (High Command of Navy Zone 5) to clean the marine environment at An Son and Bai Ngu fishing ports with the participation of nearly 100 officers, soldiers, youth union members, collecting dozens tons of waste gathered at the right place.

On June 5, 2020, the High Command of Coast Guard Region 4 held propaganda and dissemination of the law on regulations on combating illegal, unreported, unregulated (IUU) fishing; the basic contents on how to know, the harm and detection signs of drug prevention and fight and the basic contents of the Vietnam Coast Guard Law for more than 120 officers, civil servants and fishermen in An Son commune (Nam Du island); at the same time, it distributed 200 propaganda leaflets to 15 fishing boats in the area.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Tu, Deputy Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 4, said: Combining the training at sea with the deployment of mobilization activities in islands is the policy of the Standing Party Committee, leaders of the High Command of Coast Guard Region 4 and has been deployed effectively in recent years.

Through activities aimed at promoting the implementation of "The Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" Program, helping fishermen feel secure to reach the sea, strictly abide by the provisions of law when fishing at sea, closely coordinate with the Coast Guard to protect sovereignty, maintain security, order and safety in the southwest sea of the country.
