The Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway project is being handed over to the Hanoi authorities to put into commercial operation. According to plan, there will be a train every 6 minutes during peak hours (serving 960 passengers), and every 10 minutes for off-peak hours.

Ticket prices are VND8,000-VND15,000 per turn, VND30,000 per daily and VND200,000 per monthly ticket.

The route will operate from 5am to 11pm daily.

Trains on this route will run at an average speed of 35km per hour. When entering the station, the train will stop 25-35 seconds for passengers to get on and off. Traveling time for the entire route is 25.5 minutes (including stop time).

Vu Hong Truong, general director of Hanoi Metro, the route operator, said that when the project is put into commercial operation, stations will be arranged with more services for passengers, such as ATMs, vending machines, fast food stores, fashion stalls, souvenirs and others.

Vu Van Vien, director of the Hanoi Department of Transport, said that the number of tourists traveling on the Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban train is very high. To ensure connectivity, bus routes in Hanoi will be adjusted and reassigned.
