Toll fees will be waived from January 15 to February 14 on the highway which cuts travelling time from Hanoi to the northern mountainous province of Lang Son from 3.5 to about 2.5 hours.
The move aims to ease the increasing travel demand of people during Tet.

The representative of BOT Bac Giang - Lang Son Company said it was an effort of the investor – Deo Ca Group and sponsor bank - Vietinbank to help people during Tet.

By scrapping fees, the company is estimated to lose around VND45 billion (US$1.9 million) in revenue.

The Bac Giang-Lang Son Expressway was opened in September 2019. It stretches 64km and cost VND12 trillion ($521.7 million) to build.

It has 5 intersections with National Highway 1, National Highway 279, National Highway 37, National Highway 31 and Provincial Road 242.

The arterial road links the important economic corridor between Hanoi – Lang Son and is one of the seven radial highways connecting to Hanoi capital. — VNS
