"Euro 2021 schedule" is the most prominent search of Vietnamese in the year.

In second place is Olm - a website that provides videos of lectures developed by the Center for Computational Sciences of the Hanoi National Teacher Training University. The keyword "Olm" was widely searched by parents and students because many schools used this platform as an online exam portal.

The Top 10 trending searches also included other keywords related to online learning, such as the online assignment and grading website “Azota”, online exam and study management system “K12online”, online education system “VioEdu”, and online meeting software “Google Meet”. This shows that demand for searching online learning and working tools was huge due to the impact of the pandemic and lockdowns.

As for entertainment, the Top 10 trending searches were "Snaptik”, the TikTok video download application, and "Squid Game", the TV series produced by Netflix that has created a global phenomenon.

According to Google Year in Search 2021, the Top 10 trending searches about Covid-19 in Vietnam in 2021 were "Covid prevention", "medical declaration", "Covid today", "Directive 16", " E-health book”, “Vaccine Vero Cell”, “Immunization Portal”, “Astrazeneca” and “Covid symptoms”.

In the Top 10 searches of people, Chinese singer and actor Kris Wu was the most interested by Vietnamese. In second and third place are Chinese artists like Zheng Shuang and Zhao Wei.

For famous Vietnamese characters, Hai Tu, rumored girlfriend of singer Son Tung MTP, was most searched, besides businesswoman Nguyen Phuong Hang who is known as the livestream queen of 2021, singer Thieu Bao Tram, who is ex-girlfriend of Son Tung MTP, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, comedian Hoai Linh, and singer Nathan Lee.

In the movie and TV category, the Top 10 films that Vietnamese were most interested in were Squid Game, True Beauty, Falling into Your Smile, Unforgettable Love, Nevertheless, Our Secrets, Once We Get Married, Vincenzo, Fall in Love, You Are My Glory. These are all Korean and Chinese series.

In addition to familiar topics, Google Year in Search 2021 had two more special topics - online entertainment and tech tips.
