The head of state expressed his belief that educators, students and their parents will overcome the difficulties and have a successful year, citing an encouraging letter by President Ho Chi Minh in 1968.

He said he shared in the difficulties faced by those in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces where the virus situation remains very complicated.

The President noted that online learning has exposed its flaws as disadvantaged families, especially in remote areas, are unable to afford the necessary equipment.

He asked the education sector to take measures to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on students’ learning, particularly the risk that some are falling behind their peers due to disruptions to their studies.

He also called on the entire social and political system to join hands with the education sectors for the future of the country and the young generation.

At the end of his letter, President Phuc wished educators, students and their families safety and good health amidst the pandemic and encouraged them to incessantly strive to do their best and record great achievements in the new school year.
