Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc (L) meets Tajikistani President Emomali Rahmon in Beijing on April 26

 

 

Stressing the significance of the traditional friendship between the two countries, the two leaders agreed to facilitate the ties, making it more practical and effective.

PM Phuc thanked Tajikistan for supporting Vietnam in running for a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 tenure.

They concurred to strengthen the exchange of delegations at all levels, including the high level. Ministries and sectors of both countries should reinforce legal foundation for bilateral cooperation, while reviewing and speeding up the signing of agreements in economy, trade and investment such as the Double Tax Avoidance Agreement, Animal and Plant Quarantine Agreement, and Legal Assistance Agreement in Civil Affairs.

On the occasion, the Tajikistani President invited Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and PM Phuc to visit his country.-VNA
