Nguyen Thi Phuong, 53, said that it took her family three hours to get to the airport from An Giang Province. They then waited two hours at the airport to welcome a relative from South Korea.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport is expected to serve 130,000 people around Tet, up 10,500 against the same period last year. Flight frequency this Tet is set to increase by 5.68-6.24% on-year.

The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) said 21 airports that it is managing and operating are expected to serve a total of 127 million passengers in 2020, a year-on-year rise of 10 percent.
