By December 24, 2021, the Chairman of Hoa Phat Group rose to second place in Vietnam's ranking with a fortune of 3.1 billion USD, an increase of more than 800 million USD compared to the beginning of the year.

HPG is in the blue-chip group that leads the market in the early and mid-year period. Thanks to the sudden increase in business results, Hoa Phat's stock became the focus of attention. The price of this share increased from the threshold of 31,000 VND to more than 55,000 VND in early June, then to 60,000 VND. This result used to help Long's fortune approach 4 billion USD.

At the beginning of 2020, this billionaire's assets reached only 1.3 billion USD, ranking fourth on the list of Vietnamese billionaires.

After more than a year of being negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Ho Hung Anh's fortune was recorded by Forbes at an impressive number of 2.6 billion USD. This improvement brought the Chairman of Techcombank to the top 3 on the list of the richest people in Vietnam.

4. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - 2.5 billion USD

Đứng thứ 4 trong danh sách là bà Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo - Tổng giám đốc hãng hàng không Vietjet Air với giá trị tài sản 2,5 tỉ USD.

2021 was a difficult year for the domestic aviation industry. However, with specific strategies, Vietjet Air still recorded amazing development milestones.

Vietjet has announced its financial report for the third quarter of 2021. Vietjet Air's net revenue reached 2,654 billion VND, down 25% compared to the second quarter and down 5.5% over the same period last year.

Although revenue fell to a record low, this is the quarter where Vietjet Air had a gross profit of up to 559 billion VND, the highest since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out.

5. Nguyen Dang Quang - 2.2 billion USD

The fifth richest person in Vietnam is Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of Masan Group. As of December 23, Forbes recorded a fortune of the Chairman of Masan Group at 2.2 billion USD.
