Việt Nam có thể sang UAE đá vòng loại World Cup 2022

After the Asian Football Federation (AFC) officially confirmed the postponement of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers from March to June, football federations of member countries have made the first response.

The UAE may be selected to host all the remaining matches of Group G. The country is ready to host the rest matches of Group G, as well as take medical measures to ensure safety for participating teams.

The Malaysian media reported that the country's football federation supported the UAE to become the host in the final stage.

The Covid-19 situation has worsened. Vietnam has recently reported locally-transmitted cases and this situation has affected the plan for World Cup 2022 qualifying games.

Most of the teams in Group G agreed with the plan to group up for the remaining matches.

Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia are said to support this plan, too.

The Vietnamese team has not yet responded to the possibility of going to the UAE for playing matches of the second stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Currently, Vietnam tops Group G with 5 unbeaten matches, scoring 11 points.

According to the schedule, the team of coach Park Hang Seo will play the last match in the UAE.

The remaining two competitors of Vietnam are Malaysia and Indonesia.

The UAE will have two home games v.s Thailand and Malaysia and one away game against Indonesia. This is why other teams supported the idea of organizing the remaining matches in the UAE in June.
