Thai coach Sasa Todic allegedly makes rude hand gesture towards coach Park Hang Seo after a match between the two national teams at My Dinh Station on November 19

After the match between the two teams at Hanoi's My Dinh Stadium on November 19, coach Park Hang Seo came to shake hands with coach Akira Nishio of Thai team. Goalkeeper coach Sasa Todic was said to have made hand gestures referring to the diminutive height of Park Hang Seo.

Park was angry and a fight was prevented by Vietnamese assistants and a referee.

During the press meeting afterwards, Park said the assistant smiled at him. He was angry and said he would fight against Thai coaching staff.

Language assistant Le Huy Khoa wrote on Facebook about the apparent rude behaviour of the Thai coaching staff in a previous match in which Park was shown a yellow card for his reaction.

Tran Quoc Tuan, vice chairman of VFF and chairman of AFC's Competitions Committee confirmed on November 21 that the VFF had filed a complaint to the AFC.

Coach Akira Nishino has apologised to Park and the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) is reviewing the behaviour of Todic.

FAT spokesman Teerapatra Rundhasevi said Todic would be punished. He said, "He didn't show respect to the rival. We really want to hear what he will say when he has to explain his behaviour to the team leaders on November 21."

Todic denied all the accusations. His said his gesture referred to Vietnam's leading of the group would soon be at an end and Thailand would overtake Vietnam. Dtinews
