The V.League 1 side made the announcement yesterday, a day after a crucial victory in their fight against relegation.

Viettel on Sunday defeated Sanna Khanh Hoa 1-0, leaving them ninth in the table on 17 points, two above Hai Phong FC who are third from bottom.

It was Nguyen Hai Bien's first win just days after he was appointed head coach.

The second half of the season will start on July 7. Viettel will play leading team HCM City at their home of the Hang Day Stadium.

The hosts will have national team midfielder Nguyen Trong Hoang debuting after he was unable to play in the first half due to a registration issue.
