A number of familiar faces were in attendance representing the Vietnamese women’s team, including head coach Mai Duc Chung and a number of footballers based in the north such as Tuyet Dung, Hai Yen, Vu Thi Nhung, and Hoang Thi Loan.

Of the bonuses given to the team, the largest amount came from Pham Thanh Hung, the VFF’s head of women’s football, through a sum of VND3.5 billion.

Elsewhere the VFF awarded a bonus of VND2.5 billion, whilst Do Quang Hien, CEO of T&T Group JSC, gave VND2 billion to the victorious women’s squad.

The women’s football team also received a bonus from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien, in addition to bonuses from Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development and Hung Thinh Corporation.

Aside from cash awards, members of the team received gifts such as motorbikes and free flights for an entire year, whilst head coach Mai Duc Chung received a car from benefactors.

Head coach Mai Duc Chung displayed his sincere gratitude to benefactors and noted that the team are currently putting every effort into preparing for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The Vietnamese women’s football team are scheduled to compete in the final qualifying round of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the Republic of Korea from February 3, 2020, to February 9, 2020. The nation has been placed in the same group as Australia, China, Thailand, and Taiwan (China). VOV
