Currently, Phuong is completing the visa application process to finalise the move to France.

French coach Guillaume Graechen who formerly worked with Phuong’s at the HAGL JMG football academy, recommended him to Paris FC.

This will be the third occasion in which Phuong has played overseas, after two previous spells with Japanese side Mito Hollyhock and Korean outfit Incheon Utd.

Founded in 1969, Paris FC compete in Ligue 2, the second division of French football. They play their home matches at the Stade Charléty located in the 13th department of Paris.

After enjoying a successful 2014–15 campaign, the club gained promotion to Ligue 2, where they play alongside their local rival Red Star FC.

On this occasion however their stay in Ligue 2 only lasted for a season as they were relegated back to the Championnat National for the 2016–17 season.

During the 2016–17 season, Paris FC managed to make it to the playoff final where they played US Orleans for a place in Ligue 2 but lost on aggregate over the two legged tie.

Despite the loss, Paris FC were then promoted to Ligue 2 after SC Bastia suffered demotion as a punishment for financial irregularities.

In the 2018–19 season, Paris finished 4th and contested the playoffs against RC Lens, where they lost on penalties after a 1–1 draw. VOV
