Production director of the performance, Le Kha Luc, announced the event at a press conference last week, stating that the live show will prelude the first monthly musical programme in the city between September and December.

Luc said the programme will include famous local and overseas Vietnamese singers every month.

He said the series of live shows will entertain residents and tourists visiting Da Nang as well as sparking young musical talent recruitment in central Vietnam.

The second live show, the best of Khanh Ly, will open on October 26 with the participation of overseas Vietnamese Elvis Phuong, Anh Khoa, Quang Thanh and Kyo York.

According to the Kinh Ky Music Foundation, the producer of the Artists Programme, Vietnamese vocalist Cam Van will perform with Duc Huy in the third live show on November 29.

Van’s husband, Khac Trieu and their daughter, CeCe Trương will also perform.

The fourth and the last live show of the programme, the Best of Lam Truong and Phuong Thanh will be staged on December 20.

The Artists Programme is the first step in setting up a musical talent training course, which is jointly organised by the Kinh Ky Music Foundation and the Hue-based national music academy, in Da Nang.

The Artists Programme also plans to raise a charity fund to support underprivileged children and poor people in the region.
