Employees of the Department of Culture and Sports wear ao dai on Monday.

Thua Thien-Hue People's Committee said on December 16 that the festivals would be part of the events to realise Hue-Vietnam's ao dai hub and Hue-Vietnam's gastronomy hub projects.

From 8.30 am to 10.30 am on December 19, a parade will be held starting from the Meridian Gate to Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street. The ao dai fashion shows will be held from 7.30 pm on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street. Traditional art performances will be held on the pedestrian bridge along the Huong River.

An area will be used to display ao dais through the history at Hue City Centre of Culture, Information and Sports. At 15 Le Loi Street, visitors can explore the display area for traditional crafts such as embroidery.

There will be a conference about ao dai in modern life at the headquarters of the Department of Culture and Sports.

The Hue Gastronomy Festival 2020 will have 50-60 stalls from various firms and service providers. 10 to 15 of the stalls will serve vegetarian cuisine. The festival will last until December 23. Dtinews/Dan Viet
