Hoai Sa will represent Vietnam at the Miss International Queen 2020

In a press meeting held last weekend, Hoai Sa said that she was working hard to prepare for the competition.

"I was inspired a lot by my predecessor Huong Giang who won the crown of Miss International Queen 2018," Hoai Sa said. "She is so strong and confident. She always tells me to try to show all my strong points and work harder to improve my weakness."

At Miss International Queen, contestants are encouraged to express their support for the rights and health of transgender people through their own stories. Hoai Sa said that she had faced some life-threatening operations during her transgender process and so she wanted people to have more sympathy and respect towards the transgender community.

Born in 1991 in the southern province of An Giang, Hoai Sa is well-known for becoming the country’s first transgender beauty queen following her victory in the Miss Beauty pageant which took place in Ho Chi Minh City in 2015.

Hoai Sa is 1.72 metres tall and measurements of 87-56-90.

She also has a love for singing and in 2018 she participated in The Voice singing competition. She has just released her first music video I'm Your Cup which she will perform at the Miss International Queen 2020.

In recent years, Vietnamese representatives have achieved good results in the transgender beauty pageants. Huong Giang won Miss International Queen 2018 crown while Nhat Ha achieved a Top 6 finish in 2019. Dtinews
