Representatives of the organizing committee speak at the press conference

 

 

Development and Integration 2019 festival will be held on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street and at Bach Dang Wharf Park in District 1, the organizer said at a press conference on November 15.

The festival is expected to strengthen ties between participating countries and allow local and foreign visitors in HCMC to explore the cultures of different countries.

Each booth will showcase traditional products, photos and costumes of its country. Visitors can also learn about HCMC’s culture, arts and tourism through its traditional handicraft products such as rice paintings, pottery and woodenwares.

A number of exhibitions will be held during the festival, with a wide range of topics such as the city’s economic achievements, landmarks, beautiful landscapes, cooperation in culture, sports and tourism with other countries, and the expat community.

There will be a book pavilion introducing Vietnamese and foreign books of different fields including literature, economics, education, and foreign affairs.

Guests can also taste Vietnamese and international dishes at a food fair, buy souvenirs, play folk games, and enjoy water puppet, magic, Vovinam, and music performances. SGT
