A scene in movie “Hanh phuc cua me”, known as “The happiness of a mother” in English

The event is being jointly organised by the Department of Cinema under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with the National Cinema Centre, with the aim of celebrating the 21st Vietnam Film Festival which is scheduled to take place between November 23 and 27.

The week is poised to open with a free screening of “Hanh phuc cua me”, known as “The happiness of a mother” in English, which tells a touching story about a poor single mother whose son suffers with autism and she helps him to pursue his life's dream.


In total, 30 other movies will also be screened throughout the week, including “Hai Phuong”, also known as Furie, “Song Lang”, also known as The Tap Box, “Thang nam ruc ro”, also known as Go Go Sisters, and “Thua Me Con Di”, also known as Goodbye Mother.

Those wishing to attend can get invitation letters from the National Cinema Centre, at 87 Lang Ha, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, and DCINE Ben Thanh on No. 6 Mac Dinh Chi, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Each person is able to receive a maximum of two invitation letters.

Vung Tau city in the southern province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau is set to host the 21st Vietnam Film Festival from November 23 to 27.
