The exhibition first opened on June 20 to display historical documents and antiques showing the nation’s sovereignty as well as the establishment and development of the country through different time periods.

The artifacts will be on show until the end of October.

The exhibition has been divided into three different sections. The first showcases the Van Lang and Au Lac period from the seventh to third century BC, the second displays artifacts from the independent feudal monarchy period, and the final period is made of relics between the post-1945 August Revolution and the present day.

Many of the antiques on display are between 2,000 and 2,500 years.

Several of the artifacts in the exhibition originate from the 10th and 11th centuries.

On display are bricks that were found in the ancient capital of Hoa Lu located in the northern province of Ninh Binh.
