Vinpearl Quang Nam Project is invested by Vinpearl Company. It will spread across Binh Minh and Binh Duong communes. The 70.35 ha golf course will have 18 holes and an investment of VND500bn. It will operate for 50 years. The project is expected to be completed in one year after the construction starts.

Lao Cai Golf Project is invested by Fansipan Sa Pa Cable Car Services and Tourism Company in Ban Qua Commune. With an investment of VND550bn, it has 18 holes and covers 80 ha. It will operate for 70 years and is expected to complete in two years after construction starts.

Lao Cai Golf Project was proposed by Lao Cai provincial authorities. Over 60 ha are forest land, 14.9ha is agricultural land and the rest are housing land. According to the Decision 1946 issued by the prime minister, forestland must not be used to build golf courses. However, the project was approved after Lao Cai authorities drafted their afforestation plan.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment has asked Lao Cai authorities to take full responsibility for converting the land use rights.

The investors must also take responsibilities for the legality and accuracy of the data presented in the project reports as well as their effectiveness. They must follow all regulations about construction and the environment.
