These include Hai Phong Burial Service Joint Stock Company (CPH) and Siam Brothers Vietnam Joint Stock Company (SBV) which specializes in manufacturing ropes and fishing nets, and Cat Loi company (CLC), which produces cigarette filters.

The Hai Phong Burial Service JSC is doing very well. According to its 2020 finance report, the company’s net revenue is nearly VND109 billion compared to VND107 billion in 2019. Of that number, revenue from selling goods increased by VND2 billion, to VND53.7 billion. Revenue from service provision reached nearly VND51 billion, down VND1 billion. The rest was revenues from semi-finished products.

Its gross profit from sales and service provision reached VND32.2 billion, including VND25.7 billion from goods sales, accounting for nearly 80% of the total profit. After-tax profit was more than VND9 billion, 6.6% over the annual target. EPS was over VND2,060.

Yen Bai Forest, Agriculture and Foodstuff Joint Stock Company (CAP) has just announced the resolution of the Board of Directors to pay 40% cash dividend (equivalent to VND4,000 per share). This is a high dividend rate, much higher than that of large real estate corporations and similar to that of businesses with history of paying high dividends as Vietnam’s largest milk producer - Vinamilk.

In 2020, this company saw a 33% increase in after-tax profit, with over VND30 billion. From October 1 to December 31, 2020, it recorded an increase of 2.4 times in after-tax profit, reaching more than VND16 billion. The current price for CAP shares is about 1.5 times higher than early 2021.

After nearly 30 years of operation, Siam Brothers Vietnam JSC (SBV) is now a leading manufacturer and supplier of ropes and fishing nets in Vietnam.

Despite the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, its revenue in 2020 grew approximately 9% compared to the previous year, reaching VND506 billion, while its after-tax profit rose by 19%, to VND68 billion. Its EPS reached VND2,485. Charter capital of Siam Brothers Vietnam is approximately VND273 billion and its shares are traded at around VND13,000 per share. The market liquidity is quite stable with tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of shares were sold each trading session.

Merufa Joint Stock Company (MRF) has been listed on the stock exchange since December 2017, becoming the first and only condom manufacturing company on the stock exchange. From early March, MRF share has increased from VND49,000 to VND60,000 per share.

Meanwhile, some companies that produce and offer specialty products and services saw losses on the bourse.

The price of RIC shares of Hoang Gia International JSC continued to fall. On the stock exchange, RIC is the only one firm with casino services on the stock market. Its revenue in 2020 decreased 47% compared to 2019, to nearly VND126 billion. By the end of 2020, RIC had accumulated loss of nearly VND310 billion.

The Thong Nhat Match Producing JSC (DTN) has officially left the stock market. The reason given by the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) is: " Thong Nhat Match Producing JSC no longer meets the conditions as a public company."
